Winnebago Rebrand

Winnebago Industries is one of the foremost manufacturers of Motor Homes & RVs in the United States.

With its value on the rise and a coming revitalization in US recreation travel to match that of the mid 20th century, I made an effort to update the brand and give it a look and feel to appeal to a much broader audience.

 The shape of the new Winnebago logo incorporates many ideas that the company represents: The wing-tipped “W” is an homage to the previous logo, but also corresponds to the continuity of the company, it’s legacy, but also it’s ability to endure.  The integration of the location pin connects to a younger audience as well as reflects the core value of Winnebago: There for you between A and B. No matter where you’ve come from or where you’re going, Winnebago represents comfort and luxury anywhere.  We can also see a representation of the timeline of the company in the placement of the location pin, in Winnebago’s mission statement - "Moving forward with innovation and quality." It shows the progression in the timeline of quality and innovation, and implies the continued growth in those areas as opposed to stagnation.  Additionally, I’ve crafted a logotype from the angled slab-serif typeface Aleo and altered the serifs on some of the letters to better reflect the logomark.

To accomplish this, I designed an App targeted to meet the needs of RVers nationwide in their attempts to see and experience all they can while on the road.  How many times have you been planning a trip and looked up fun things to do, or food, or museums and attractions along the way? It's a lot of work, and it's hard to keep everything straight! You have to go through each city, map in the area, find the things you want, bookmark them on several websites or even write them down.
